Met up with Joe Mantegna yesterday at his wife's great restaurant in Burbank, Taste Chicago. Joe, a good and dear friend of Ray Bradbury’s, was kind enough to give me a cover blurb for “Searching for Ray Bradbury,” and I wanted to give him a “thank you” copy of the book. Joe figures into the inside of the book as well. He participated in Ray Bradbury Week appearing at a screening of “The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit,” which he starred in. He also was one of the speakers at the dedication of Ray Bradbury Square last December. I have essays on both events in the book.
