DO WE REALLY NEED ANOTHER BLOGGER?

Do we really need another blogger?

Probably not. But as I am an author trying to sell the new e-book version of my novel, Blood is Pretty I have been told so many times to do this that -- I'm doing it. Who am I to argue with a crowd. I will be promoting my book here, of course, but, as long as this forum is here, I will also be posting other musings as the whim dictates. Below is my very first posting, a short essay on the hero of Blood is Pretty, the Fixxer, which attempts to explain why I created the kind of hero I did, one who may be a bit of a throwback to heroes of the past, as opposed to the more tortured heroes of our day. I like the Fixxer, others have liked the Fixxer, I hope you will like the Fixxer.

Here's what some nice people said about Blood is Pretty and the Fixxer:

“Steve Leiva not only promises but delivers. This is a fine first novel. Bravo!”
— Ray Bradbury

Blood is Pretty is a wonderful read, a highly entertaining and impressive debut novel." — Richard D. Zanuck Producer of Jaws, Cocoon, Driving Miss Daisy, and Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland

“Steven Paul Leiva takes a dash of James Bond, the ghost of noir, a splash of Hollywood and stirs it into Blood is Pretty, an adventurous, fast-paced first novel.” —Melodie Johnson Howe Edgar-nominated author of The Mother Shadow
